Fall 2015 Wedding Trends

Hi Sweet Peas! It’s Emily Shannon over at the Seattle office making my first blog appearance and talking about one of my favorite things – current and upcoming trends. As we enter pumpkin spice season…I mean fall season….let’s take a look at what appears to be big players this fall.

Marsala
Pantone named marsala as 2015’s Color of the Year. For those of you who think pink is pink and red is red, think of marsala as a deep cranberry or red wine color. It’s a very rich color that pairs perfectly with golds and neutrals.

Copper
Gold and rose gold accents are starting to be replaced with copper. Copper is making appearances in vases, flatware, china, accessories – you name it!

Crop Top and Cut-Outs
We’ve seen crop tops and cut-outs all over fashion lately, but now for the adventurous bride, they’re appearing in wedding gowns. Designers are embracing this new trend.

Silk Ribbons
Silk ribbons have been making a big splash lately in bouquets, but this fall you’ll see more of the same material being used as table runners and décor accents.

Edible Decorations
As Seattle is one of the leading cities on “going green,” you’ll see more and more edible décor. Think about fruit and veggies in your floral arrangements and edible favors.
