Earlier this year, the Rising Tide Society challenged each city’s group to put together a full collaboration. Seattle is home to many creatives and we all jumped at this opportunity to come together and show off what Seattle has to offer. When Sweet Pea Events was asked to head up this editorial, it was a no brainer! When we think of Seattle and the PNW, we immediately think of lush greenery and wanted that to be the focus of the design. We added some whites, ivories and pale soft pinks to the florals to soften and add a romantic flair to all the greens. All the flora was 100 percent PNW grown. For the color palette we added in dusty blues accents with gold metallics. Blueberries were a fun farm-to-table way that we brought this dusty color in.
The ceremony took place in the middle of a vineyard with mixed seating of sofas and ghost chairs. The aisle was lined with ferns and each seat was equipped with a custom designed program. The a-symmetrical arch was the statement piece of the ceremony bringing in large show-stopping flowers.
The sweetheart table was cushioned next to a pond for a picture-perfect scenery. Blankets and pillows were provided for the couple to be able to snuggle in that Pacific Northwest breeze.
For the reception guest table, a lush and full overhang was added to bring the outdoors inside. We used handmade himmeli – both hanging and on the table – to add a modern twist. Each place setting was equipped with a stone name card and a custom menu.
The dessert table was mouthwatering with three cakes and several mini cakes that incorporated our color palette and geometric features. We added a coffee cart, because, well it’s Seattle and Seattle is home to coffee! A meringue cake tower and cakes in a jar completed the dessert and coffee cart.
