For Tzlil and Andy, their Seattle wedding was a destination wedding. The couple lives in the Boston area, but when it came down to planning a wedding, they knew that they wanted to do something a little bit different in an area that meant a lot to them. Tzlil and Andy fell in love with Seattle and knew this was where they wanted to bring all their family and friends – some even traveling as far as Israel. The couple decided on Willows Lodge in Woodinville to host their wedding. They truly made it a fun destination experience for guests – including a welcome dinner for all 150 guests, morning yoga, stellar welcome bags and afternoon hikes!
The festivities started early with a pre-cocktail hour before the ceremony. Guests were encouraged to mingle and walk around the gardens during this time. A photo backdrop – complete with selfie sticks – was used for all your selfie needs.
The ceremony took place under Willows Lodge’s gazebo. The couple incorporated some Jewish elements including a beautifully draped chuppa designed by Juniper Flowers. The chuppa was tied together by lots of lush white flowers and greenery.
Willows Lodge’s reception room was completely transformed into an elegant garden affair. Pipe and drape was hung, floral trees were created, décor covered the place from top to bottom. Every single detail was perfectly planned. From the full foliage and moss centerpieces to the sprigs of lavender placed on top of each menu, this wedding was a rustic garden affair to remember.
And once the dance party started, it never stopped. What surprised me the most was that most of the guests were coming from the east coast, but the time change didn’t affect them at all as they danced late into the night. They even wanted an encore from the DJ!
Cheers to the Whipplesteins! May you have a long, happy life together!
