The moment that Sara and Jake told me that they wanted flower collars for their two dachshunds was the moment that I knew they were a couple after my own heart.
Sara and Jake got married on a beautiful fall day in October, and much to our surprise, it was a sunny fall day in the PNW! After weeks and weeks of rain, the sun decided to make an appearance and celebrate Sara and Jake just in time for their wedding day!
The Loft at Russell’s was the site of their nuptials and the space was transformed into an elegant, fall affair. Sara Jane with Thatch Floral has built a relationship with the bride over the last few years and really designed the floral pieces with that relationship in mind. These fall pieces included cotton (which the bride adores) and twinkle lights. The arch was lush and magical. The centerpieces had two varying heights. It was truly an autumn event done right.
String lights were hung throughout the venue to create a special ambiance. Each place setting was equipped with a variety of the delicious Seattle Chocolates. The groom’s own coffee shop set up a table to ensure everyone had caffeine throughout the night.
Sara walked down the aisle in a beautiful long-sleeve Pronovias dress. She looked absolutely breath-taking! Sara and Jake’s wedding was a long-time coming and you could just see the joy spilling from everyone! Their guests provided little surprises throughout the day including a recording of Jake singing to his future wife at the age of 13, an enlarged photo from the beginning of their relationship and a sweet song for a toast. It was truly a joyous celebration!
The only thing missing at their wedding was their sweet little dogs, but Sara and Jake made sure they got in plenty of time with them prior to the wedding as well as photos and photo booth props throughout the reception. A puppy play date between their two doxies and mine is hopefully in our future!
