If I could dream up the perfect clients, it would be Mariko and Ken. These two were just the sweetest couple ever. There was just a giddy excitement for these two throughout the entire planning process. Details of course mattered, but they didn’t get caught up in that, they purely found joy with the thought of marrying the love of their life!
I could have sworn Mariko’s dress was custom made, just for her. She looked absolutely radiant all day long. Ken was even overcome by tears upon seeing her for the first time in her dress!
The couple has Japanese roots, and they incorporated that in a couple various ways. My favorite was sharing sake during their ceremony. The décor was elegant with an a-symmetrical arch and lanterns overflowing with flowers. And with their venue, you could hear the slight gushing noise in the background of Snoqualmie Falls. It made for a perfect, whimsical feel.
After cocktail hour, the guests headed inside for dinner, dancing and cake. The pretzel-flavored cake was perfectly crafted with artistic sugar flowers. I originally thought that this sweet, quiet family would be a bit timid on the dance floor. Oh, how I was wrong! That dance floor was packed all night long as they partied the night away! The couple wrapped up the night with a private sweetheart dance followed by their grand exit with all their closest friends and family.
Congrats Ken and Mariko! We’re so happy for you two and this next journey in your life!
