The first time I met Carmen and Bruce, I just knew they would have such a sweet and fun wedding. Both if them were such a positive ray of sunshine and someone you could talk to for hours on end.
Carmen is originally from Lima, Peru and wanted to be sure to incorporate special Peruvian customs including her dress, bright colors, and songs. Carmen walked down the aisle in a custom-made dress from Peru, – perfectly designed for her. The ceremony venue was a stunning cathedral with brick walls and high ceilings. It was truly a southern treasure in Seattle. The ceremony was sweet, with not a dry eye in the house.
Unfortunately, the rain came that day, but you couldn’t tell with Carmen and Bruce’s sunny personality. They made the most of the rain and even took some umbrella and rain photos!
After the ceremony, guests proceeded to head to Axis Pioneer Square for cocktail hour. Guests were immediately welcomed with an open bar, photobooth and passed hors d’oeuvres. Dinner was delicious and toasts were sweet. But the real party started about an hour into dancing. There’s a tradition in Peru called – La Hora Loca, or “Crazy Hour” in English. Props, hats and glowsticks were passed out. Balloons were thrown. A dance instructor came. It was truly an epic dance party and the greatest way to end the night of celebration!
Congratulations Bruce and Carmen! We’re so excited that we can relive your wedding thru photos and video!
Cheers!
