Alicia + Thomas: Kirkland, Washington

We first met Thomas and Alicia when Thomas hired our brother company, Planning for Dudes, to help plan the proposal. We knew immediately that Alicia and Thomas had such a sweet and pure love.

Alicia and Thomas wed at the beautiful Woodmark Hotel overlooking Lake Washington. (Seriously this view was breathtaking!) Though they had a November wedding in Seattle, you’d never know it was winter. The sun was shining, the heaters warmed the tent, and the flowers were very bright and festive!

Alicia and Thomas began their wedding festivities with a first look on a beautiful grand staircase. The ceremony was so classic and sweet. The couple decided to include some favorite hymns in their service while their guests sang along. We aimed to time the ceremony perfectly with sunset, and right as the ceremony was ending, the most perfect golden light was cast down. It felt as if they light was a present just for them!

The dinner tables were beautifully decorated with lanterns and low centerpieces. Alicia really wanted coral peonies, and her arrangements were filled with the most perfect (and huge!) peonies I have ever seen!

Near one of the two bars, Alicia and Thomas wanted to pay tribute to their proposal and included the photos and signs from that. This also marked out their dating story from their very first coffee date to the day they became engaged. It made for a great activity for guests to walk thru and learn about every step of their relationship.

Once dinner was done, the party started inside! Alicia and Thomas had not only two bars, but also two coffee bars! Guests were able to pick out their vice with great ease. There was so much excitement in the air from not only the couple and their immediate families, but all the guests in attendance. Alicia and Thomas are two of the kindest, most personable people you could meet. These two lovebirds have only just started their love story and we can’t wait to hear more!
